That’s something few writers are able to fully accomplish, yet Kerry Donovan has managed that task seamlessly. ‘The Transition of Johnny Swift” is a terrific read, and I can’t wait for the sequel.
By Kerry J Donovan|2018-10-02T00:44:15+00:00September 25th, 2018|Comments Off on There has been a proliferation of novels spawned by Jack Reacher, many of which are long on killings per page and short on writing skills. Ryan Kaine: On the Defensive does not meet either of the above criteria. It is a superb story crafted by a terrific writer.

Seeing Ryan with his righteous anger at full throttle was wonderful. He is the very best kind of hero: he is utterly ruthless when he needs to be but he has a heart and compassion that he can never completely hide.
By Kerry J Donovan|2018-10-02T00:40:29+00:00August 11th, 2018|Comments Off on It amazes me how this author creates such a complex plot with seeming ease. There are so many twists and turns in this story that it had me gasping out loud. Kerry J Donovan has become one of my favorite authors.

The characters are well described and the search and rescue team at Lodge Farm, particularly Iona, Gregor, and Drew are finely drawn in description. The tense relationship between Sergeant Townes and Buffalo Bill Cody is well crafted and the twist at the end is a surprise.

There are twists and turns and a hero who gets more beat up (but survives it all). He was conned into killing a whole lot of people without his knowledge–and he was going to get revenge on the people responsible! This could and probably should be made into an action thriller in my opinion!

Plenty of action, adventure, characters you care about and ones you REALLY love to hate. This book is like every other Donovan novel I have read in that it is well-written, never gets dull or boring, the story smoothly flows from beginning to a terrific ending and leaves you anticipating the next one.
By Kerry J Donovan|2018-10-02T00:29:34+00:00January 14th, 2018|Comments Off on It’s 2 am, I couldn’t stop reading it. The writing has a rhythm that moves and flows with Ryan Kaine’s thoughts and action. Sometimes a pause for a breather then it’s fast paced action. Highly recommend. I have found a new author and can’t wait to read more.
By Kerry J Donovan|2018-10-02T00:19:43+00:00November 26th, 2017|Comments Off on There is continuity and flow between the books, which makes the reader feel they have read one long, enjoyable saga, instead of three separate books. But be warned; when you get to Ellis Flynn, try not to have anything else to do in your life (like sleep or eat) because you are not going to want to stop until you finish. The hallmark of a true winner in my estimation.
