New Ryan Kaine Book
Hey Guys,
Just a quick note to let you know that I’ve handed in my homework early! The latest in the Ryan Kaine series, On the Hunt, is headed to my publisher’s desk as we speak.
It follows on immediately after the events in On the Wing, and here is the blurb:
A vicious attack. Innocent victims under threat. One man has vowed to protect them.
When Danny, one of Ryan Kaine’s most trusted men, notices bruises on a woman’s face and sees the way she’s being mistreated, he takes action against the man responsible. In the process, he exposes a dangerous plot to take over a family’s business and risks his own life in the process.
Outgunned and outmanned, Danny turns to his mentor for help. He turns to a man he trusts, a man with serious skills. As a result Ryan Kaine is … On the Hunt.
Ryan Kaine is an explosive addition to the great military action characters in the tradition of Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, and John Milton.
It’s currently still available for pre-order and I hope to be able to post a cover reveal soon.
Cheers,
Kerry
I am loving your Ryan Kaine series. I can’t put them down, I keep saying I will do something when the action is over and I never get anything done. Thank you very much.
I am reading Book 7, On the Wing and I swear at about 20% in the is a chapter that belongs in Book 6. It is Lara and Ryan waking up in the morning before going to her live combat training. I could be totally wrong, but just thought I would mention it.
Michelle MacDonald
Hi Michelle,
You are dead right. There is no mistake.
On the Wing begins in the UK while Lara and Ryan are in Denmark.
Please keep reading. All will become clear. 🙂
Thanks so much for taking the time to comment and thanks millions for reading.
Regards,
KJD.
I bought my husband the first in the series and he loved it. I am trying the find the rest in the series in paperback format, but I have only been able to find them on kindle. Can you offer any suggestions.
Hi Wendy,
I’m delighted to learn that your husband enjoyed On the Run. I’ll contact my publisher and find out what’s happening with the paperbacks.
Hopefully, they’ll be available really soon.
Regards,
Kerry.
Read all eight books of Ryan Kane and cannot wait for number nine.
Brilliant storylines . Was missing out on sleep as I could not put the books down. I recommended Ryan Kane to friend of mine who is blind unfortunately but was thankful the books came in audio and he said he could not stop listening to it.
He’s now onto book 2and will be listening to all of them.
I was sorry [spoiler] had to die being such a good and close friend of Ryan, had a problem to carry on reading through the tears.
Have you a planned number of books you intend to write in the series. I do hope there is many more to look forward to.
Hi Pamela,
I’m so glad you enjoyed the series and have taken time out of your day to comment. I’m absolutely delighted to hear from my readers and receiving such a glowing review makes my lonely career all the more worthwhile.
I too, was sorry to learn of [spoiler]’s demise. He was a favourite character of mine but sometimes, we lose our nearest and dearest. As for the number of books in the series, I have no real target. I have many stories running around in my head and will keep writing them as long as people keep reading them. 🙂
Hopefully, Book 9, On the Outside, will be ready for publication within the next month or so.
Warmest regards,
Kerry.
Hi, I’m Lynn. Your books in the Ryan Kane series are brilliant, unfortunately I have finished book 8 and long for book 9 to come out. I hope you have many more of this series to follow. Thank you for such marvellous reading x
Thanks for your kind words, Lynn.
Book 9, On the Outside is due for publication on 3rd August.
Furthermore, I can promise you more Ryan Kaine thrillers are in the pipeline.
All the very best,
Kerry.
Read On the Outside in one fell swoop – finished at 0045. Now on tenterhooks waiting for no. 10. Just wondering is “on tenterhooks” a known expression in the US or is it peculiar to the UK.
Hi Pauline,
Delighted to learn that you enjoyed On the Outside.
It’s really wonderful to hear from satisfied readers. I’ll be starting on Book 10 very shortly.
As for ‘tenterhooks’, I’m afraid I have no idea whether people in the US have heard the expression. Must ask my American readers.
By the way, I’ve just set a pre-order for The Long Road Home, the long-awaited sequel to Finding Home. These are the first two books in the Lucky Shores series which is set in Colorado. I’ve also just sent the manuscript for Book 3, Home for Good, to my editor. But don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten about Ryan Kaine. Another exciting story is in the pipeline and should be ready by early in 2022.
Take care, keep reading, and thanks for being a Friend.
Warmest regards,
Kerry.

Hi Dean,
It’s great hearing from you, and I’m truly delighted you enjoyed the Ryan Kaine series.
I’m going to let you into a little secret–I’m actually working on the ‘Welsh mission’ right now. Hope to publish this year, if not, early in 2022!
Watch this space.
Cheers,
Kerry.
Hi
Love the Ryan Kaine series and just read all 9 books back to back. Where is book 10, lol. Can not wait for the next installment
Thanks for letting me know, Michelle. I love hearing from my readers.
I’m working on Book 10 right now. Hope to publish by summer 2022.
While you’re waiting, why not give my other books a go. DCI David Jones is one of Ryan’s supporters and is a ruddy decent chap. You might find Chet Walker to your tastes, too. Check him out in Finding Home: A Lucky Shores novel. 🙂
Hi Kerry, I have read all the 10 Ryan Kaine books, are there any plans to write more.
They are a book that I cannot put down, better than the Jack Reacher series
Hi Neil,
Thanks for dropping me a line and thanks for the very generous comparison.

You’ll be happy to learn that On the Brink, Book 11 in the series, is nearly ready for publication.
Fingers crossed, I’m hoping to publish in March.

Hi,
Have just finished Book 10, which I completed all 10 in under 3 weeks, needless to say once started I couldn’t put down. I’ve been an ardent reader of Lee Child and Stephen Taylor, but Kerry you beat them hands down, Ryan Kaine was and is brilliant.
Thankfully I’ve read from these posts that book 11 is just about ready for publishing.
So keep on writing and I hope to read all 83.
Regards
Derek
Hi Derek,
Thanks for the kind words. In fact, your comment has made my day.

Having been an avid teacher fan for years and having read all of the books in that series I thought that was the top of the pile for this genre. Oh how wrong I was! Just finished reading book 10 of the Ryan Kaine series having read them all in just a month! I could not put them down. Gripping stuff and cannot wait to continue with this journey!
Oops meant Reacher!
Hi Glen,
Wow, that’s praise indeed. Thanks for letting me know how much you’re enjoying the Ryan Kaine series.
I work hard to write entertaining books and your feedback means a great deal.
Watch out for On the Brink. It’s coming very soon.
Cheers,
Kerry.
Hi Kerry. I’ve just back to backed the 11 books on holiday and must commend you for such great reads. Can I ask about future plans, next books…Surely Hartington and Enderby can only wait for so long? Thanks again for 2 weeks of entertainment.
Hi Paul,
I’m delighted you enjoyed the Ryan Kaine series so far and am happy to let you know that I’m already working on Book 12, On the Offensive. And you are correct, of course. Enderby and Hartington can only wait so long. Teehee.
Cheers,
Kerry.
A very big thank you for the 11 amazing and un-putdownable Ryan Kaine books, can’t wait for number 12.
Loved the one set in the Amber Valley, apart from the fact one of my favorite characters unfortunately took a bullet for Ryan, it’s a place I know well as I live there.
Once again, thank you.
Hi Phillip,
You are more than welcome.
Thanks so much for letting me know how much you’re enjoying the Ryan Kaine series.
Amber Valley isn’t too far from me in Newark. I fell in love with the name of the place and just had to include it as a location. It’s a beautiful area. Hope I did it justice.
As an aside, I can let you into a little secret. I am currently working on books 12 and 13. Hope to publish them later this year.
Cheers,
Kerry.
Oh my, I have just read both the Ryan kaine series and the DCI Jones series back to back and am now at a loss of what to do with myself.
What a fabulous and fantastic writer you are Kerry Donovan, please tell me we have more to come of both of these characters. I used to work in Birmingham and love reading about places I know.
Thank you for giving us such fabulous books
Hi Sally,
Blimey, what a lovely thing to say. You’ve officially made my day.
In fact,I’m in the middle of writing On the Offensive, book twelve in the Ryan Kaine series. This story is based in London, Amsterdam and Toulouse. And … I have plans to write another DCI Jones book before the end of the year.
As for something else of mine to read, did you know I have published a third series? Lucky Shores, is a US-based trilogy. You might like to check it out.
Cheers,
Kerry.
I am loving these books, as you say the UK Reacher, so impressed with the stories, plots and the overall writing, great job Kerry….now looking forward to book 12 and hopefully more. After book 11 I am at a loss of what to get my head into !!
Glad you’re enjoying the series, Jeff.
Thanks for letting me know.
Book 12, On the Offensive, is nearing publication.
While you wait, why not check out the DCI Jones series? (Apologies for the blatant promo.)
Cheers,
Kerry.
