Exciting News!

Hey guys,

I hope everything’s okay with you and life is bumbling along nicely. We’re deep in the heart of a cold, wet winter here in the UK. Roll on spring. Can’t wait to feel the warmth of the sun on my face! The bright, yellow orb has been AWOL for such a long, long time.

Anyway, I have a number of exciting announcements to make today, so hang on to your hats and let’s crack on.

Ryan Kaine in Paperback:
Do you choose print books over ebooks? If so, I have great news for you.
Until now, readers who prefer print books have had to make do with the variable quality of print on demand (PoD) copies of my novels. This is not the best for me or for my readers. In the past, I’ve actually received 1-star reviews when the PoD versions have fallen apart in readers’ hands, or when significant parts of the text is missing. After all the hard work I put into creating the best novels possible, I find this heartbreaking. Now, don’t get me wrong, for an indie author, PoD has certain advantages. For a start, we have no need to invest in large print runs, or to hold vast quantities of stock. On top of that, the PoD producer—in my case, Amazon—arranges distribution. But the variable production quality is the real killer. Well, no more.
I’m really excited to announce that my publisher, Vinci Books, has backed me—and the whole Ryan Kaine series—to the hilt. The On the Run “volume form paperback” goes live today, 13th Feb 2025! Furthermore, this launch will shortly be followed by the paperback publication of the whole Ryan Kaine series. Woot!
From today, On the Run will be available in paperback around the world apart from the US, which, for technical reasons, won’t be ready until autumn. I hope you find this news as exciting as I do.

DCI Jones:
Don’t worry all you DCI Jones fans, I haven’t forgotten him. Vinci Books will be producing volume form paperbacks of the Casebooks but it’s going to take a little while. I’ve been working through a series refresh (including expanding Serenity Broken into a full-length novel). Once my wonderful editor, Nicole, has worked her magic on my random scratchings, we’ll be relaunching the whole series in ebook and volume form versions. And, a new Casebook is on the cards.

Contest #6:
I have made the draw for the download codes for the audiobook version of On the Edge. The winners have been notified.

Don’t worry if you didn’t win this time, the audiobook version of Book 7, On the Wing, will be released very soon (18th Feb), and I’ll be setting a new contest in the next Letter. To be eligible to enter the contest, simply join my newsletter and follow the instructions!

Other exciting news:
Fancy meeting me in person? Join my newsletter to find out when and where. I’ll even be signing books, and I can’t wait to see you there. My newsletter also has sneak peaks and updates on the next Ryan Kaine book and a teaser about partnering with WHSmith Travel.

That’s it for now. Stay safe and keep reading!

Cheers,
Kerry
